It is a water fountain where the River Vaca’s affluent is born: the Badell, at the foot of the Ombria’s mountain. There is evidence that there was a stone industry workshop related to Paleolithic and Neolithic sites of the Bolomor’s ravine.
Regarding hiking, this place belongs to the Senses’ Route (Ruta dels Sentits) and there are two important characteristics that make it so special:
– It is situated a few kilometres from the town centre. As a result of this closeness, it is a good place to do sport or go for a walk on which you may enjoy nature. Every day we can see people going for a walk or doing jogging from the morning to the evening. We see all kinds of people and people of all ages. For instance, the mothers or grandmothers that have just taken children to school, or people running after work… whenever you go, there will be people there.
– There are stones benches and tables, a barbacue, wooden benches and a drinking water fountain. All these facilities allow us to enjoy a day of nature.
If you want to enjoy a typical Festival there, every second Wednesday in July there is a small market called “porrat”.
